By Marisa Ruggeri

my history
I’m Marisa, the maker and designer behind this little patchwork & crochet shop. Trained in Interior Composition (School of Fine Arts, UFRJ) and with an MBA in Marketing, I spent over two decades turning a passion for textiles and thoughtful design into handmade homewares and gifts. My background in interior design gives every piece a focus on colour, texture, and lasting finish — nothing here is accidental.

I’ve run and produced for small shops and studios (including my own Patchwork Shop and the itinerant Ateliê na Komby), where I handled the full creative process: designing, stitching, finishing, inventory, and both in-person and online sales. I also taught art to adults and led craft classes, so I love sharing skills, taking custom requests, and helping customers choose pieces that suit their homes and lives.

What that means for you:
-
Hand-stitched patchwork, crocheted linens, amigurumi, and decorative items made with care and attention to detail.
-
Small-batch and made-to-order options — I can customise size, fabric palette, or pattern to match your home.
-
Professional approach to materials and conservation (postgraduate study in preventive conservation), so pieces are made to last and are easy to care for.
-
Friendly, dependable service: clear communication, careful packaging, and a focus on creating something you’ll enjoy for years.
